On Sunday, several of our optional level gymnasts (JO levels 6-9) attended a clinic hosted by New Hampshire USAG at a local gym. The clinic was in two sessions and our gymnasts got the opportunity to work with other coaches and gymnasts in the state on vault, bars, beam, floor, and dance. Clinics like this are also great for coaches because ideas and training methods can be shared amongst us. Elyse and I had a blast attending the clinic with our girls!
Our older optional gymnasts (Taylor, Ellie, and Hannah) attended the first session. Ed Datti, coach of the UNH Women's Gymnastics team, was running the vault portion of the clinic and my favorite part was seeing the girls have the opportunity to work with and learn from him! It's not every day you get to work with such a prestigious, knowledgeable coach with a wealth of experience with high level gymnastics.
Remember the vintage gymnastics pictures from the last post? Interestingly enough, not a single person guessed correctly! Most people guessed that it was Elyse, but the person in the pictures is actually Lauren! Thanks for the guesses!
Halloween (my favorite time of year!)
Next week, all of our preschool and school age classes are invited to wear their costumes to class! No face paint or masks please!
Remember, we will be closing at 5:00PM next Thursday on Halloween. Any groups that arrive at 5:00 PM or later should not plan on coming. All other classes meet as scheduled.
Peace, love, and gymnastics,
