On December 7th at 1:00 PM, the University of New Hampshire gymnastics team will be holding a "Meet the Team" exhibition meet, followed by a clinic with any gymnasts (ages 5+) who register before the meet.
For the exhibition meet, the UNH team will be split up into the "blue team" and the "white team" and they will compete against each other. Several Spectrum gymnasts attended this event last year and had a BLAST watching the gymnasts compete and learning from them at the clinic. As a former collegiate gymnast myself, I cannot emphasize the importance of supporting college gymnastics programs like UNH. I guarantee that young gymnasts of all ages and abilities will not be disappointed when attending a college gymnastics meet! Click here to see photos from SGA attending last year's clinic!
After the exhibition meet, the clinic will begin where everyone who mailed in their registration form or presented it at the door prior to the meet. The kids will have an opportunity to work with the UNH coaching staff and gymnasts on all four events (vault, bars, beam, and floor). The event will conclude with an autograph session with the team.
Tickets for the "Meet the Team" exhibition are $7 for adults, $5 for kids under 18 and seniors, and free for UNH students. The one hour clinic after the exhibition costs $10 and includes free admittance to the meet.
If you are interested in participating in this clinic, please click here for the registration form, which can be mailed to the address listed or presented at the door on December 7th!
Happy Thanksgiving from Spectrum!
This holiday is all about giving thanks and being grateful, right? I'm thankful for the sport of gymnastics, which has essentially ruled my life for the past 17 years, and has equipped me with physical fitness, goal setting skills, the ability to overcome obstacles, cool party tricks, tenacity, pride, love, passion, and enough memories to last a lifetime. I would not be the person I am today without this sport and I am truly grateful that I get to spend every day having a job I am passionate about with kids that always put a smile on my face.
What are you thankful for?
We will be closing for Thanksgiving break on Wednesday at 5:30 until Sunday! All classes That begin at 3:30 or 4:30 will still meet as scheduled. Any class that meets at 5:00 or later will not meet. Enjoy the break!
Peace, love, and gymnastics,
